“We hope to be up and running with gas later this week.
There are still some issues to be solved at the host platform,” Total
spokesman Leif Harald Halvorsen told Reuters.
The gas and condensate field, known as the David field, is
being tied back to the Heimdal platform.
Total is the operator and 40% stakeholder of the field which
is situated 20 kilometres from the Heimdal field. Norway’s Petoro has a 30%
stake with Centrica on 20% and Det Norske Oljeselskap on 10%.
